Yoga

The word “Yoga” translates as “union”. We can think of this union happening at all aspects of our being and layers of our existence. Through the practice of yoga postures, breathing exercises and meditation, yoga sessions are designed to restore balance of the various systems of the body and help develop well-being, happiness, and help with stress relief.

Modern day living puts a lot of stress on the body, and causes us to lose our connection with ourselves. This disconnection causes many of the current health problems facing us on a daily basis.

Yoga, Yoga Therapy or Physiotherapy Yoga all focus on achieving optimal health by addressing the root causes of an illness versus simply treating the symptoms.

It works by restoring balance of the various systems of the body such as the respiratory, nervous, immune, endocrine, musculoskeletal and fascial system.

Clients are designed a routine according to their needs, how they learn and when they prefer to practice. Sessions are held in a private, safe, comfortable atmosphere to encourage learning and inward focus.

Anyone can benefit from yoga, no matter what age, gender or level of physical ability.

“The great beauty about the practice of yoga is that it is always evolving and changing just as we are. Some days our focus is purely on the breath and meditation where other days our focus may be more on the physical part of ourselves. It helps you to continue to explore and awaken yourself daily both physically and mentally.
